Day 1 Bangkok
Dive straight into Bangkok's frenetic atmosphere, sampling spicy food and a sizzling nightlife.
Days 2-3 Kanchanaburi/ River Kwai
Cruise down the river under the infamous Death Railway Bridge or perhaps swim beneath the magical Erawan Falls.
Day 4 Ayuthaya
Relive Siam's glorious past among the ruins of Ayuthaya. Head off on foot or rent a bicycle to explore this once-magnificent city. Take the overnight train to Chiang Mai.
Day 5 Chiang Mai
Warm up with a bike ride around the old city walls or climb to the hilltop temple of Doi Suthep.
Days 6-7 Hilltribe Trek
Discover the simple life on a trek through Thailand's northern hills - a unique opportunity to experience the different cultures, religions and customs of the hilltribes.
Days 8-9 Chiang Mai
Reward tired muscles with a traditional massage or check out the brilliant Night Bazaar before boarding the sleeper train back to the capital.
Days 10-11 Bangkok
Continue independent explorations of this thriving metropolis. Take in the Grand Palace, stroll through the National Museum or hunt for a bargain in MBK. Then, board an overnight train heading south.
