Wave Rock is one of Australia's most famous landforms, a giant surf wave of multicoloured granite about to crash onto the bush below. Stand under it and feel rock power from over 2,700 million years ago, before dinosaurs roamed the earth!
Located just 97 km east of Perth on the Great Eastern Highway, the township of York, established in 1831, was the first inland European settlement in Western Australia. While still remaining distinct from other towns in the region, York is yet another fine example of colonial architecture and renowned for its heritage prescient.
