Full Itinerary
From snow-capped mountains to incredible glaciers and the heritage-listed national parks, Alaska is made for outdoor adventures. Enter the world of grizzly bears, elks and beluga whales and be wowed by the magnificence of some of the highest peaks and mountains in North America. This vast wilderness holds a strong allure for those who enjoy their water activities such as fishing, kayaking, swimming or simply boat cruising. Beautiful, bold and expansive, Alaska is a place for the truly wild at heart.

Day 1 Anchorage

Located in south-central Alaska on the shores of Cook Inlet, Anchorage is a unique urban environment in the heart of the wilderness.

Days 2-4 Denali National Park

Be vigilant in heritage-listed Denali - grizzlies, wolves, elk and caribous are afoot. Follow a short trail near the park's entrance and venture into the wilderness. The highlight of this trip is Mt McKinley - standing at 6,154 m, it is the highest mountain in North America. Stroll, hike or raft through the park, or opt for a scenic helicopter jaunt.

Days 5-6 Wrangell- St Elias National Park

Admire the glacier-formed geography and spectacular views of the Alaska ranges on the drive to Wrangell-St Elias. Referred to by locals as the Mountain Kingdom, this national park is huge, with glaciers upon glaciers and peaks upon peaks. It's hard to miss the 18,008 ft Mt St Elias, the second highest peak in the United States.

Day 7 Chickaloon

With deep azure waters punctuated by mile high mountains, Lake Louise is a scenic stop on the way to Chickaloon.

Day 8 Anchorage

Travel back to Anchorage to get ready for the second half of this exciting adventure. Perhaps use this opportunity to stop by one of the city's many great restaurants where seafood is a particular specialty.

Days 9-10 Homer

Travel around the Kenai Peninsula to explore its many lakes, glaciers and mile-upon-mile of fascinating coastline. Keep an eye out for beluga whales playing out at sea while travelling along the Turnagain Arm on the journey to Homer.

Days 11-12 Seward

In Seward the opportunities are boundless - take a boat cruise around the glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park, hike up Exit Glacier to the Harding Icefield, ride on a dog sled or go halibut fishing. Keep an eye out for marine mammals such as sea lions, orcas and dolphins who all frequent these waters. There's also the possibility to take a flight over the area to capture the gorgeous views of this world of sculpted icebergs.

Days 13-14 Valdez/ Prince William Sound

Journey to Valdez by ferry across the Prince William Sound to admire the creaking frozen expanse of the Columbia Glacier. Punctuated by soaring snow-capped mountains, Valdez is a scenic spot to take in the beauty of Alaska. Tour the state's northernmost ice-free port, if the season's right see salmon swimming up the stream, hike to the scenic Bridal Veil and Horsetail waterfalls, discover the impressive Worthington Glacier or go on a kayak tour to Shoup Glacier. The options are boundless.

Day 15 Anchorage

Admire the rugged east coast, where glaciers tumble down from the mountains and towards the ocean on the journey back to Anchorage.
