This itinerary include transport (no guide will travel on the coach, but you will be met by hostel staff at each stop and transferred to your accommodation), accommodation, activities (operated by local guides who are experts in their area) and selected meals. Everything is pre-booked for you and you are provided with details of each segment, so you do not have to worry about a thing! The advantage of Flexi-touring is that it is tailored to each person’s requirements, departs daily and you are not paying high costs to have a guide sitting on a coach with you. 

Day 1 - 4: Cairns to Whitsundays

Airlie is the gateway to the Whitsunday's – an archipelago of 74 tropical islands. Our resort is located on the main strip and features a swimming pool, bar and night club. This is the ideal base to explore the Whitsunday's from. Here you have 3 options:

Option A: Full Day Whitsunday Sailing + Accommodation in Airlie Beach
This option includes a full day on a maxi sailing yacht where we sail around the Whitsunday Islands and enjoy the great snorkelling and pristine beaches.
Option B: 2.5 Day & 2 Night Sail & Snorkel the Whitsundays + Accommodation in Airlie Beach
(package needs to depart on Tue, Thu or Sat for this option, unless upgrading to Lodge Safari on Fraser or extending package)
Spend 2 days & 2 nights sailing the Whitsundays on our budget cruise vessel. Each night you will sleep aboard our sailing vessel that sleeps 24 passengers + 3 crew. The accommodation is made up of 9 cabins with a selection of twin, double & quad share. This is a great way explore the tropical reefs and beaches as you cruise and snorkel around the islands.
Option C: 2.5 Day Live-aboard Dive Vessel + Accommodation Airlie Beach (this option has an upgrade fee of AU$135)
Spend 2 days & 2 nights sailing/cruising the Whitsundays on one of our specialist dive vessels. Each night you will sleep aboard one of our specialist dive vessels, whilst during the day you will explore the tropical reefs and beaches. SCUBA diving is purchased onboard from approximately $60 per dive

Day 5 to 8: Fraser Island

After travelling through the night you arrive in Hervey Bay. This coastal village is famous both as the whale watching hub of Australia plus as the gateway to Fraser Island. Here you have 2 options:

Option A: 3 Day Camping Safari + Accommodation Hervey Bay
This is a great package where you will actually get a chance to get behind the wheel and experience driving (4x4) on these remote beaches of Fraser Island. See all this unique region has to offer and spend your nights camping in this magnificent wilderness.
Option B: 3 Day Lodge Safari + Accommodation Hervey Bay
Guided four wheel drive adventure which overnights in the Wilderness Lodge (part of Kingfisher Bay Resort). Included in your touring will be Lake Mackenzie, Basin Lake, Pile Valley, Maheno Shipwreck, Coloured Sands & Champagne Pools.

Day 9 to 10: Brisbane

Departing Hervey Bay you travel south through the Sunshine Coast & Brisbane to spend a night in Australia's favourite holiday destination - Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. From here it is on to Byron Bay where you can surf with dolphins at Australia's most easterly point; go for a latte in a street café or just chill-out in this hippie town & backpacker mecca.
